Egg Day Nursery, Andover
Designed with security and accessibility in mind
This project is the construction of a single-storey day nursery on the new Picket Twenty development in Andover.
The focal aspect of the design is for all children to be on the ground floor with direct access to the external playspace.
The internal space are organised into four room for each of the age groups. Support facilities include: office, kitchen, laundry and staff rooms.
The roof overhangs the Southern space to provide shelter and shade for the playrooms during the summer months. Security and accessibility is paramount, with the external playspace secured by fencing and screening to the street and footpaths, but also separation from the car parks.
