Wildern Youth Centre, Southampton
Recreational facilities and healthy living unit
This is a youth club on the site of a large secondary school. The site was limited and therefore the building was designed to fit tightly into its boundaries to maximise the frontage to the street.
Strong colours define the key rendered element of the elevation. It was this focal point that the children chose the name of the centre, ‘The Box’. It provides recreation facilities and a healthy living unit.
